A feed describes an application that can be launched with Zero Install.
Feeds are XML files which are usually accessible via an HTTP-URI (e.g.,
http://0install.de/feeds/VLC.xml). They contain both metadata such as name, description, icon as well as technical information on how to download, run and integrate an application.
- End-users use feeds to launch applications.
- Publishers use feeds to publish new versions of their applications (which Zero Install automatically downloads for the end-user).
- Catalogs help users find feeds.
